Have you ever sat down in class and daydreamed while letting the time go by? Often times, we don't even listen to what the professor is saying; we are simply in a rush to pack our bags and leave. While attending school is taken for granted in America, elsewhere it can simply be a remote dream. Senegal consists of roughly 14 million people. Children make up 40% of the population and only a few have the necessary resources to attend school every year. Our mission is to outreach, raise awareness, create opportunities and encourage young girls in Senegal to further their education. While no child chooses to become illiterate, the crippling impediments of such a situation linger through adulthood. We intend to provide the young girls with school supplies, clothing, feminine hygiene products and the necessary scholarship funds to help them keep a normal standard of living while attending school.
