Heriberta was born in Cebu, one of the many islands of the Philippines. She has dedicated more than two decades of her life to teaching and has played an important role in the lives of thousands of children. Today, she is the one who needs our support.

Over the past few years, Heriberta’s health has steadily declined. She has been battling diabetes, hypertension, and several other complications. Just two months ago, she began her first dialysis treatment due to kidney failure. Shortly afterward, she was hospitalized for two weeks because of a bladder infection. During her stay, doctors discovered several lumps that now require further examination.

In the Philippines, medical expenses must often be paid out of pocket, and the costs are overwhelming. In addition to the upcoming tests, Heriberta needs dialysis three times a week, along with continuous medication to manage her conditions.

I created this GoFundMe because, beyond her medical struggles, Heriberta is also facing severe financial hardship. She was forced to retire from teaching due to her health and currently has no source of income to support herself or her family.

Dialysis has become her lifeline, and she cannot sustain this care without help. Any support you can offer—no matter the amount—will truly make a difference and is deeply appreciated.
