On Sept. 22, Chris' Jeep was stolen from Gastown in Vancouver. A few days later he received a call from Vancouver police that his jeep had been found and was in their custody. Hope soon turned to devastation as he saw his Jeep. Being in transition, all of his chef equipment and personal gear had been in the Jeep - and were now gone. Over $10,000 worth of items that Chris had collected over a career that spanned almost 20 years, gone.
Yes, his insurance is covering the physical damage to his Jeep, and he should have it back in his possession October 14th - but there is no coverage for his belongings - all of his personal possessions.
I've known Chris for almost 20 years, and I can honestly say, he is truly a gem of a person. Generous, kind-hearted, creative, inspiring. No one deserves this, least of all Chris.
