Two city-dwelling activists venture into the woods to rescue their brother from his obsessive hunt for a fabled family treasure. What they won't admit, even to themselves, is that they too harbor a shred of hope that the treasure might be out there.

This a treasure hunt movie, but it is a deeply personal exploration of inherited trauma and its effects on our ability to find hope. It's a movie about the bonds between friends and family, made by a small family of friends.

This entire feature was shot with a six person crew and a self-financed $10,000 budget. We are finalizing the edit with 50% of our post-budget secured and are seeking support to help fund the score, ADR, sound/dialogue mix, color grade/correction and any additional editing we may need.

 

ABOUT US

 

Brendan Patrick Ward as CAL - writer, director, producer, co-editor

Brendan has been making movies his whole life. This is his first micro-budget feature following a no-budget feature (It's Me) on which he was co-star, writer, director, producer, DP, sound recordist and editor.

 

Grace Burdick as ABI - co-producer

Grace has been a performing her whole life, on stage and on screen. She is an accomplished dance choreographer and trained actress. She has produced multiple shorts and events. This is her fifth project with Brendan.

 

Darnell Bernard as SAM

Darnell is a model, actor and performer from New York City. He trained in stage acting at Stella Adler and models for brands ranging from L'Oreal to Rag and Bone. This is his second feature film as an actor after multiple shorts.

 

Ash Bean - director of photography

Ash is a succesful commercial photographer in her own right. She endeavored to try her hand at cinematography by shooting an entire feature. She made it look like she's been doing it for decades.

 

Jim Bulluck - producer, UPM, AD, on-set savior

Jim is a writer, actor, comic, director as well as a producer, working in the industry professionally for the better part of a decade. Jim has produced three features in the last two years and just began AFI's MFA program for producing.

 

Wesley Rumm - producer, AC, grip, gaffer, sound recordist

Wesley is a producer who carries a wealth of experience from having worked every crew position imagineable. Finding time between seasons producing a show for MTV, Wesley was uniquely qualified to step in as our jack of all trades.

 

Connor McCann - producer

Connor is not only a producer but a writer and director to boot. Connor has associate produced for Neftlix and is currently a segment producer for HBO. This is his first feature as producer and fourth time working with this team.
