I know everyone has been asking if we have a go fund me account and under the difficult circumstances I am finally able to set one up.
Hello my name is Michelle Herder. As many of you know now or those of you who haven’t heard, on Saturday December 11, 2021, my family endured a very bad accident on N20. My husband Ron and youngest daughter Haylee were flown out from the accident site to flagstaff medical. Me and my other daughter Alexis were transported by ambulance to Page hospital for our injuries. I was admitted to the hospital for a collapsed right lung and had to have a tube inserted into my lung to relieve the pressure. After a day and a half and my lung working back to its normal state, I was released Monday afternoon. My daughter Alexis was treated for her injuries and was released that night. She however suffered alot of bruising to her spine, arms and legs but thankful nothing fatal. However my little one Haylee was flown to the Phoenix children’s hospital from Flagstaff Medical as she suffered a broken pelvis and underwent surgery this past Monday. As any mother knows it was hard not being by my baby’s side during all of this but I was very grateful my 2nd oldest daughter was able to be by her side. My Husband was admitted to Flagstaff medical where he was treated for a fractured neck, broken right arm and also a collapsed lung. He was released yesterday with a neck brace and will need 6 weeks of recovery. I know much healing, physical therapy and a unknown recovery time are in the months ahead. I have been the only one supporting my family and after this terrible accident my time will need to be with my family and my daughter in Phoenix. Those of you who know me, know I am not one to easily take a hand out or ask for help as I always try to find a way out on my own. I have always worked 2 or 3 jobs sometimes to make sure my family had a warm home to live in, clothes on their backs and food on the table. Unfortunately this time I’m afraid I can’t be at 3 places at once (with one of those places being work) I had to take time off from work to help my family heal mentally and physically and it hurts my heart that it happened right before the holidays. So on behalf of myself and my family, I am asking for your help. Any donations in any amount, small or big would be greatly appreciated. My family (Franks Grille) will also be hosting a food fundraiser starting tomorrow on our behalf (Dec. 16,17 & 18th). Cash donations will also be taken there as well. So please come down for lunch or have it delivered anywhere in town (with a $2 delivery fee) they will be selling Navajo tacos and Navajo burgers starting at 9am until sold out each day. I will finally be making my way down to Phoenix soon to be by my little ones side. For those close to me and my family I can be reached thru FB or by phone if you have my number for any updates on my hayleebears. We appreciate all the prayers and sincere thoughts everyone has given us thus far. If you are unable to donate at this time you can still help by sharing this post. Thanks to you all in advance and god bless. ♥️ The Herder family.
