For those who don't know, my dad passed yesterday sometime between 3pm and 7. We don't know yet what's happened, and it'll be a few weeks before we know.
Please say a prayer for my grandma to find some peace in all of this. She found him, and I can attest I wish it was something she didn't have to see as I got there before the police and ambulance and he did not look himself.
We are trying to make arrangements and get logistics figured out. He had nothing planned, nothing set aside for something like this. I am taking on some legal bills for them already and this is a lot to manage at once.
She does not want a funeral service for him, and doesn't want visitors right now. If you knew my dad and grandma he pretty much hung the moon to her. Once it warms up we'll do a small graveside service in Harlan where his dad is buried.
Please keep my family in your thoughts. This was very unexpected.
