Herbert Hernandez Funeral Expenses

Dear Family and Friends,
It is with a heavy heart that I share the sudden passing of my brother Herbie (a.k.a. Cooker) Hernandez. He died of natural causes, at his home in Pennsylvania. He turned 60 years old last June 3rd. He had not been well, but we did not know the extent of his health issues. As I write these words, my siblings and I are in total disbelief. Yet, we strongly believe that his soul is at peace now. May he Rest in Peace.
His daughter, America, and our family are overwhelmed, and yet going through the motions to make sure his remains travel to Connecticut, to be buried with his wife and two young children. As we gather to honor Herbie's wishes, it has also been several days of asking many questions. Since it has been several days since he passed, the coroner in PA is pressing the family to make quick decisions as the body must be moved from the local morgue immediately. We are doing our best to manage the funeral cost but unfortunately Herbie did not have any financial resources. We cannot work fast enough, and are going nonstop to put a plan in place that will honor and allow him to rest with his family in Connecticut.
I am reaching out to you to ask if in the spirit of family and friendship, you can provide any level of financial assistance to help with the funeral costs. We are conscious of cost, of the current economic situation many families are in today, and yet we are short on funds. Herbie did not have life insurance.
Whether it’s $25, $50 or $100, we could use any amount to defray the cost of funeral expenses. Herbie’s body must be cremated; the ashes transported to Connecticut, and interred with his family. We need to raise $4,000 to cover the expenses. We greatly appreciate your support.
On behalf of Herbie's daughter America, and his siblings Victor, Vivian, Moses and I, thank you for considering our request. Please keep us in your prayers, as we gather to lay our "bigger-than-life" brother to rest. May he rest in eternal peace.
