Herbebossing - reforestation

Hallo, wij zijn Gert-Jan Kloos en Hanneke Ackermann, een stel uit Nederland. Begin 2022 hebben we een quinta in de Serra do Açor, Portugal, gekocht. Ons terrein ligt ruwweg op twee heuvels. In de bosbranden van 2017, zijn veel bomen, waaronder dennenbomen verbrand. Hiervoor in de plaats is veel brem gekomen. Er staan her en der jonge boompjes waaronder kurk-, steen- en hulsteik, kastanje- en eikenboompjes, etc. In de komende jaren willen we op de heuvels oorspronkelijke, inheemse bomen en struiken planten. Hello, we are Gert-Jan Kloos and Hanneke Ackermann, a couple from the Netherlands. At the beginning of 2022 we bought a quinta in the Serra do Açor, Portugal. Our site is roughly situated on two hills. In the wildfires of 2017, many trees, including pine trees, were burned. A lot of broom has come in its place. There are some saplings here and there, including cork, stone and holly oaks, chestnut and oak trees, etc. In the coming years we want to plant original, native trees and shrubs on the hills.
