Friends, family, and the Community,
The Joyner family is devastated to share the news of the sudden passing of the best Husband, Father, and friend, Herb Joyner.
He was born on May 5, 1958, in Columbus, Ohio, the son of Thomas and Shirley (Wright) Joyner. Herbie was a proud 1977 graduate of Centerburg High School. He owned and operated numerous restaurants in Florida and most recently the Bad and Bougee Food Truck in Mount Vernon.
Herbie enjoyed watching Nascar and his favorite driver Jeff Gordon, bowling, and cooking. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan and liked participating in the demolition derby at the Knox County Fair. Most important, he enjoyed being with his family and cheering on his kids and grandkids in all their activities.
He is survived by his spouse and best friend of over 30 years, Sandra (Mace) Joyner, his children, Heather (Jason) Doyle, Jason (Amy) Joyner, Michael (Robin) Guillermo, Ryan (Jennifer) Guillermo, David Guillermo, Jacki (Kyle) Talbott, Eric Joyner, Christina Joyner, and Lauren Joyner, eighteen grandchildren and a great grandson.
As prideful as his family is, everyone needs help from time to time. If you are able to help out, any amount is appreciated to assist Herb’s Wife, Sandy, and his family with upcoming expenses. We so appreciate everyone who has continued to reach out with condolences, kind words, and prayers.
Herb put his family first always and we thought the best way for people to honor his life and his memory would be to come together to support Sandy and his children during this impossibly difficult time.
We will all love and miss him from now until forever.
