In April, our dear friend Lyndon was diagnosed with breast cancer. In true Lyndon fashion, she faced it with her trademark humor, fierce independence, and a shrug that said, “Well… this sucks.”
Last month, she underwent a double mastectomy—an enormous milestone on the road to healing. But just as she started her recovery, life threw another curveball: an infection landed her back in the hospital, where she needed emergency surgery to clean things out. Because apparently, cancer recovery wasn’t dramatic enough.
She’s got two more surgeries ahead, each spaced months apart, and while she’s powering through like the badass she is, this journey comes with a lot of unexpected costs—extra hospital stays, meds, takeout meals when cooking isn’t an option, follow-up appointments, and the little stuff that adds up fast when you’re just trying to survive.
So many people have asked how they can help. And while Lyndon wasn’t exactly thrilled about us doing this, we (hi from Katie and Ava!) know that taking even a little of the financial stress off her plate will help her focus on what matters most: healing.
-Your support—will help cover:
-Hospital and medical bills
-Meals and groceries
-Transportation to and from appointments
-Time off work
-Cat treats for Luna (for emotional support, obviously)
-Anything else she needs while recovering
And if donating isn’t in the cards, Lyndon has just one ask:
Cop. A. Feel.
Yes, seriously.
All Genders—check yourself. If something feels off, speak up. Push for answers. Advocate for your health. Cancer doesn’t care how old you are.
We love Lyndon more than she loves sarcasm (which is saying something), and we’re committed to getting her through this with laughter, love, and a little help from our friends.
Thank you!!
