Michael Blake fight with Esophageal Cancer

Hello everyone, my name is Tiara Blake, youngest daughter of Michael Blake, who transitioned on Monday, May 23, 2022, from Esophageal Stage 4 Cancer. I am raising funds for my dad, who continued to work full-time in public service as his cancer progressed.  My dad was actively in Chemotherapy for over a year; as the cancer progressed more and more, it damaged my dad's liver, causing first-stage liver failure. My dad had difficulty swallowing and keeping food on his stomach causing him to loose 80 pounds, and difficulty walking with blood clots.

 

In addition, my dad worked hard to pay his medical bills and a host of medications he took daily in addition to the Chemo. My dad was reduced to working part-time until he could no longer walk, drive, and eventually not able to eat without a medical line in a major artery providing nutrients. The stress of working took a toll on him; he exhausted his savings.  My dad loved his family, friends, and church family and most of all God and his relationship with Jesus.

 

I am raising funds to help pay for his burial; my dad was loved by everyone he met. It's essential to give my dad a proper burial, and he deserves to be laid to rest appropriately.   All funds will be used to pay the funeral cost, including the cemetery.
