Hensley's Fight Against Leukemia

Donation protected
On Wednesday, March 16th, Hensley went to the doctor to get checked out. She looked pale and was tugging at her ear. They said her ears looked great. They tested for both flu and strep test, both were negative. They decided to do blood work to see what was going on. They said it would take hours to get back so Hensley went home where Hensley ate and hung out for a bit. They called and said her labs were not good and to take her to the hospital immediately because she was being admitted.
Once there, Melinda was told that there was a possibility that Hensley had Leukemia but further testing was needed to make sure. They were careflighted to Cooks in Ft.Worth, where she received 2 bags of blood, 2 bags of platelets, and has had antibiotics every 8 hours.
On Thursday, March 17th, the doctor confirmed that it is in fact Leukemia. On March 18th, Hensley received a port and had a spinal tap. Hensley started chemo on the 18th.
Hensley will need to stay at Cooks for possibly 4 weeks. After, the Bannert family will need to relocate to Ft. Worth for 4 months after while continuing treatment. They will need to somewhere to stay, as well as other necessities.
She has a long road ahead of her. She is a fighter. Please pray for her. We could also use prayers for Hadley. Both girls have never been apart and both keep asking for each other.
