Hello friends! Our little Henry decided to come into the world two months early in quite a sudden and unexpected turn of events. While I planned for and had been preparing for a homebirth, God had different plans for me, and for Henry!

Being born at 31 weeks means Henry needs special attention and care while he continues to grow and develop outside of the care of the womb.

He will be in the NICU at Lancaster General Women's and Babies Hospital for at least three weeks total, but it could be longer. While in the NICU he was on CPAP and medications to help him breath while his brain and lungs catch up. He also needs treatment to help him learn how to eat.

After he is discharged, he will need special follow up care like therapy and early intervention for development.

Currently, the hospital and physicians are all out of network for my insurance. I am able to change it, however, thus far my options through work cover either the hospital or the physicians, but not both.
