I am having to swallow my pride and reach out and ask for help. I received 3 letters today letting me know that my sons SSI disability has been taken away. They sent the letters late last week. I received them today , to let me know that his SSI deposit that was to go in this week would not be happening. They did not even allow me a time to prepare, just a simple you no longer qualify.

DOGE got us, and in a very unfair and hard way. We depend on this money to assist in Henry's care. It is put towards cost of living with his Autism. Henry requires therapy, and special accommodations in his daily life that this helps fund. Things most people take for granted they won't need, we do. His mediations, the gas costs to get to and from therapy appointments along with the cost of parking. His food/diet has to be supplemented because he will go days with out eating correctly and when he does its not enough nutritionally, it must be supplemented to keep him healthy or he will end up in hospital. The help we depend on to fund all of has been taken away and abruptly without any warning, leaving us no time to prepare or adjust our budget and spending. It is now leaving us severely short on funds and having to scramble.

I know this will be a temporary setback, but one we were not prepared for in anyway what so ever. It is humbling and embarrassing to find yourself in this situation, yet here we are.
