My name is Dean McCrea. I am the producer and director of the film Henry's Hair. Henry's Hair is an intensely personal story that I felt compelled to tell. The film represents a collaboration on the part of some of the most talented filmmakers in Portland. I am very proud of the film and I'm delighted to see how well is performing in the film festival circuit.
I wish I could attend every screening but for a whole host of reasons I cannot. I have chosen two of the festivals that we are competing in. I have recruited two crewmembers to be present at both festivals to represent the film and to gather up all the awards I intend to win.
The Henry's Hair budget disappeared about three months ago. I have no money left. To get two people to two film festivals on opposite sides of the country is going to be expensive. This fundraiser will be the tool that I use to try to raise the funds to be represented at the two festivals.
The funds raised will be used for airfare, lodging, ground transportation including daily ferry rides between Long Beach and Catalina Island along with a per diem we're allowing for meals. We have researched in an effort to find the very cheapest way to get us to these two festivals and back. Unfortunately were still going to need an enormous amount of money.
I am hoping that you will participate and will donate to this project. If now is not a good time to provide a cash donation you can still do me a huge favor by copying this link and sharing it with your own social network.
I have received so much help from so many people that made it possible for me to finish this film and enter it in the festivals I have. I will be forever grateful for all that has been done on my behalf and all that will continue to be provided me.
Please help me if you can. Thank you for considering my request.

At Skyline Indie Film Fest we bring to the Shenandoah Valley the absolute best in independent, undistributed films from around the world. To us, indie means off the beaten path. It means doing something because you love it.
Daring to be different, to learn and grow. It means overcoming obstacles that could be swept aside if you only had a few more dollars in your bank account. By getting your message across through the use of resourcefulness and adaptability. It means taking initiative, being responsible, and getting in the face of and not backing down from obstacles, naysayers, and detractors. The indie spirit is alive and well and here, we support, embrace, and celebrate it.
Will you help us… Foster the Indie Spirit!
