Henry Thorpe

Hello fellow paratroopers, as most of you already know we lost one of our own unexpectedly this week. Henry Thorpe's passing caught all of us off guard. In his own way, Henry touched all of us by his actions and his dedication to our unit being the glue that held us together. His dedication to our reunions during All American Week were instrumental in most of us rekindling lost friendships and brotherhood.

There have been a lot of folks that have reached out and asked if there's anything that they could do. CSM Reagan was able to speak to Henry's wife Mary. She has agreed to allow us to set up a go fund me in Henry's honor. This go fund me is not just set up to help aid in time of unexpected loss, but more a way for us to show our appreciation to Henry and his dedication to our unit. Our plan is to run the go fund me from later today until the 31st of January. At that time the money will be transferred to Mary. She only said yes with one stipulation, in order to allow us to set up this go fund me, she stated that a portion of the money would be donated back to our battalion “because that's what Henry would have wanted”.
