"Sometimes, real superheroes live in the hearts of small children, fighting big battles".

As Henry's aunt, these words are hard to type. Henry Robert Guell is my sweet almost-2-year-old nephew, who can make you laugh without even trying.  He loves animals more than any kid I've ever met, and going on adventures with his dogs Luna and Kessie.  Henry loves books, playing outside, and singing songs. His smile lights up a room, and he also happens to have two of the kindest and humblest parents I know, Tyler and Lizzi.

Sweet little Henry has been having trouble the past couple of weeks.  Initially, Henry was having what seemed to be teething pain, or mild fussiness during the day. Things developed into more concerning symptoms, where Henry seemed to be having trouble standing and walking.  When he was taken to the Emergency Room and soon after to his pediatrician, doctors suspected Henry was struggling with constipation.  This is not an uncommon problem for toddlers and young children so for several days Lizzi and Tyler were working to address this issue and hoping that Henry would improve. As days went by, Henry's symptoms were worsening.  He was not walking at all, not sleeping for longer than 5-10 minute increments, and in noticeable pain.

His parents took action and after being seen by his pediatrician once again, the doctor came to the conclusion that Henry needed to immediately be assessed at Children's Hospital in Milwaukee.  On 12/21 Tyler and Lizzi took Henry to Children's where doctors admitted him, made him more comfortable and allowed him to rest overnight as he had very little sleep for several nights.

The following day they began testing, including an MRI  of Henry's body.  Unfortunately, the MRI showed a mass on Henry's spine.  The tumor was pressing in ways that did not allow Henry's little body to function properly as far as walking and digestion, which explained his sudden onset of troubling symptoms.  The doctors recommended immediate surgery to try and shave off as much of the tumor as possible and do a biopsy.

We are pleased to say that the surgery went well, and the surgeon was able to take off most, if not all of the tumor.  Unfortunately, the doctors are almost certain that this tumor is cancerous due to it's quick growth.

Tyler and Lizzi are now faced with a journey that no parent ever wishes to suit up for, as their precious little boy fights this.  Together we can arm them for this war with love, prayers, and financial contributions.
Henry remains at Children's  hospital this Christmas recovering from his surgery and will soon start physical therapy while awaiting word on what type  of chemotherapy will  need to be initiated.  As we know medical bills are going to be a part of this journey, as well as lost wages for Henry's parents.

Please consider contributing and blessing this wonderful family to help ease the financial burden and let them focus on getting their sweet buddy through this!

Thank you! And please come back for updates on Henry the Brave.
