Support Henna Cafe Soup kitchen: Education &Postquake aid
Donation protected
Greetings from Marrakech!
We are glad to report that our focus at the Henna Cafe has returned to offering DELICIOUS FOOD & SAFE HENNA ART and our community output continues to offer accessible free EDUCATION for all the community & SOUP KITCHEN nutritionally balanced meals for those in need.

Support for people in the earthquake regions continues but now the need for aid is much less urgent. We still send donated/ purchased items such as blankets, toys, clothes and first aid kits when we know someone is travelling to those areas to avoid high transport costs.
It is almost five years since we started our Henna Cafe soup kitchen. The team had a celebration this week to mark the occasion.
We’ve had some high profile supporters mark landmarks along the way, British Ambassador, Simon Martin, served the 20,000th, Vanessa Branson served the 30,000th and the Pasha of Marrakech the 50,000th meal to name a few.
Thanks to your donations we have now given an incredible 130,000 nutritionally balanced meals to people in need within the community.

Our education programme which started in 2011 is also thriving with between 60 and 80 people (ages 8-70 years) each day benefitting from free lessons in English, French, Spanish, Italian and a range of other subjects which vary according to the availability of student volunteers.

When you are in Marrakech come and visit for great food, safe natural organic henna, and to see the soup kitchen and classroom in action every day.
Your generosity can make a world of difference.
As our motto says, we are: "Making a difference together."
With heartfelt gratitude,
Lucie, Mike & The Henna Cafe Team: Bouchra, Rachida, Hyatt, Khadija, Oumaima.
