Hendrix Freedman Memorial Fund
Donation protected
Hendrix Freedman was truly a one-of-a-kind kid, from birth 5/25/2000 to his sudden passing 2/10/2021.
Anyone who knew Hendrix has at least one story about his unique personality, his intriguing perspective, and his witty humor!
My name is Rich Freedman, and Hendrix was my son. My mission is to pay tribute in his name, giving back to the caring people and special places that gave so much to him.
The purpose of this fundraiser is to immediately memorialize and celebrate the life and unique personality of Hendrix, in the following ways:
Commemorative Shade Tree donated to our community in his name, in downtown Haddonfield, NJ. Planting event this spring, date TBD. (Location has been secured on Kings Highway East.)
Donations to J.F. Tatem Elementary School in his name - Art, Gym, Library, and Child Study Team. Future possibilities include commemorative benches and trees, playground equipment, and anything else the kids need to succeed. We are in constant communication with the school, as Hendrix' little brother and sister are still there!
Commission of a sculpture in his name, colorful and permanent, to accentuate our lovely downtown area. This is a little further down the line.
Privately Sharing thoughts and memories: (sorry for the extra step of requesting, but the goal is to keep these spaces secure)
Facebook Group, @hendrixfreedman_memorial - where you can post comments, memories, and photos.
Instagram, @hendrixfreedman_memorial - where you can send memories in the form of stories and/or photos and videos.
Email me directly at [email redacted] if you prefer, and I will share.
Lots more to come! This was very sudden, and we are doing our best to nail everything down. In the meantime, rest assured your contributions will go directly to the memorials above in his name. You will receive update notifications with photos and information so you can see exactly where your generous contributions go.
