Hendrix Cabe Theatre Light Board
Donation protected
Let’s get Cabe Theatre a new light board! AKA: DANNY NEEDS A NEW LIGHT BOARD. DIG DEEP!
Cabe Theatre has been a special place for a lot of us. It was a place where we built sets, called cues, made costumes, held tech potlucks, did the Hokey Pokey, and even performed a play or two.
It’s been called to our attention that the booth’s light board is in need of replacement and we want to help the place the helped so many of us make it through 4 (plus or minus) years at Hendrix. In short, we’re gonna help Danny Grace GET HIS NEW LIGHT BOARD, DAMMIT.
Here’s a note from Danny on why this is important to him, the theatre, and the students who will be learning this system in the coming years:
Our Strand Palette Board is a little over 10 years old. It has always been the mission of our program to provide our students with the most up-to-date training and access to technology. The ETC Ion console is the one our students will most likely encounter once they leave Hendrix. The new Ion series offers state-of-the-art hardware and software, is easy to learn, and is a good fit for Cabe Theatre. An added bonus is ETC is always forward-looking by designing hardware with future capabilities in mind. As ETC adds more we will not need to replace the hardware, only update the software.
By the way, because Hendrix College has non-profit status, your gift will be tax deductible. If you need a receipt for your donation that specifies this, please let us know and we will be happy to provide it to you.
If you were a theatre major, theatre minor, friend of the theatre, roommate of a theatre lover, Hendrix alum, parent of a Hendrix alum, or just someone looking to help the arts in the current climate, your donation would be both a generous gift and a smart investment for Cabe, the Theatre Arts program, and the college. So let’s do this!
