Hello everyone —
I’m setting up this site for my best friend’s beloved youngest brother, Hendra Widjaja. He is 43 years old, married to the love of his life, and a father to two young boys, ages 15 and 13. Hendra has been diagnosed with liver cancer stage 4; however, the cancer has been spreading tremendously throughout his body, affecting his lungs, making it uneasy for him to breathe.
Couple months back, Hendra was unable to walk due to severe pain in his lower back. After several tests, it was revealed that cancer has spread to his bones, causing his sciatic nerve to get pinched. He now is told to stay permanently in the hospital because of his current situation. Hospital bills keep adding up as each day passes. This latest news was devastating not only to me, but of course to my best friend, Hendra’s older sister, Ratna.
I am proud to say that Ratna is a cancer survivor herself, and just watching her go through her chemotherapy treatments and the pain she had to overcome was difficult for me to see. I pray daily for her youngest brother to have his normal life back. It’s devastating for me, as a friend, to watch her go through this.
