Revitalizing Rooftops to Drainpipes

Tax deductible
The all-volunteer theater, known as Hendersonville Little Theatre for more than 50 years, has a new name and a new mission. The new Hendersonville Theatre is reflective of the many people the theater wants to bring into its fold. From embracing local playwrights to reaching out to younger audiences, this once little theater has big plans.

These past twenty months have been challenging for everyone. We at the Hendersonville Theatre have missed the hundreds of people in our audiences and on our stages that we would usually see. We have been lucky enough to be able to safely present some live performances, host live streamed events and work with local artists and community members to provide access to performing arts and events safely.

As the completion of 2021 nears the finish line, we look ahead to a reimagined Hendersonville Theatre and a revitalization of our space.  A space that we look forward to engaging in with artists and innovators, event producers, community members and more.

While we love “Singing in the Rain” we prefer not to do it during every one of our performances.  Our space has been in need of a new roof for many years.  This is to provide the safety and comfort of our patrons and actors.  A new roof will keep us dry and warm for years to come.

And of course we love long lines at our box office, but we don’t enjoy them during our 15 minute intermissions in the restrooms.  Our plumbing is as old as our wonderful building and it needs to be repaired before we open for the season in 2022.  We want to upgrade to real commercial fixtures that will keep that line moving.

Share our commitment to a vibrant Hendersonville Theatre future, and consider giving a donation to the theatre for yourself or on behalf of a loved one, or consider purchasing a gift certificate for a future event. The gift of community connection is one that heals…something we all desperately need right now.  The show will go on.

On this Giving Tuesday we ask you to make Hendersonville Theatre your choice for a donation that will allow us to expand the impact in the lives of your family, friends and neighbors. Just click the link provided below and complete the secure donation form in any amount.
