Help Zoe breathe easy
Donation protected
Have you ever had one of those days when everything goes wrong and you want to cry orpunch something? Then you realise you have so much to be grateful for and you sucked it up and counted your blessings and thought to yourself "At least I have my health"
I want to tell you about my daughter's story and how she's been having "one of those days" recently, in fact for the last 10 years.
Zoe was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2005 when she was only 25. She beat that with numerouss
If you ever thought you were having a bad day and that everything was going wrong, count your blessings if you have your health.
I want to tell you the story about my daughter Zoe. In 2005 she was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, she underwent numerous rounds of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. She would be clear for a few months and I dreaded when she was due for another PET scan to see if the treatment had worked, but every time it came back.
She then received a bone marrow transplant from a donor from overseas, this cured the cancer but she developed graft versus host disease a complication from the transplant. She has recently been diagnosed with Scleroderma a rare incurable disease of the connective tissue. She has had two bouts of pneumonia recently which landed her in hospital for several weeks. She was transferred to intensive care as she went into respiratory failure, her lungs could not function and she was placed on a machine to help her breath. She is a fighter and despite everything pulled through! She needs to have one of these machines permanently to help her breath at night and help get rid of the carbon dioxide.
She has been told she cannot go back to the job she is trained for as she is picking up to many infections in her job working with children. The risk of infection is too high.
I hope you can help raise the funds needed to buy her a machine, any donation no matter how small will make a difference.
