At the end of January I am set to receive a surgery that I have been fighting for over the last four years.

I have had to fight tooth and nail at every step of the way to be seen as worthy of gender affirming surgery by social workers, doctors, and medical boards. I have been forced to write letters detailing my dysphoria to men I will never meet in the hopes that they will deem my medical care as acceptable. I have had to advocate for myself every single step of the way in a system that has pushed against me from start to finish.

I'm am so relieved that I am almost at the end of this journey and I am humbled to ask for your help.

I am the primary bread winner in my chosen family and this surgery will put me out of work for at least a few weeks and cost thousands of dollars *after* insurance. I am asking for help from my community to help me over this hurdle and put this years long fight to rest.
