Since 2005, we have spent over half a million dollars in vet bills alone.
Adoption fees, fundraisers and donations help to offset the expense of our rescue efforts, but we consistently spend more than we receive. Veterinary expenses account for 75% of our operating costs because we continue to take in the dogs whose medical needs exceed what the average person can afford. We take in 2-3 Yorkies each year who need a $4000 liver shunt surgery; a broken leg, common with this tiny breed, can cost $3000 to repair; and one senior dog can easily cost $1000 to have their medical needs met. We never want to turn a dog away simply because they are too old and/or their vet bills are too high. With your help, we can continue to go above and beyond for all dogs who come into our rescue.
Please consider donating towards another successful year of saving Yorkies, even the smallest donation helps!
