Gil Vincente supports his family as a tricycle driver in the Philippines. While riding his bike home from work on the night of May 30, 2019, Gil was shot in the head by an unknown suspect and left to die. He's now in critical condition in the ICU awaiting treatment. Unlike the United States, Gil's family must pay the entire bill for his treatment before doctors in the Philippines will perform the necessary surgeries to save his life.
