On January 1st, 2017, I noticed my cat, Joey acting strange. He wasn't eating and had no energy. The next day I took him to the vet who ran some tests. A couple hours later the vet called me and told me I needed to rush Joey to an emergency animal hospital because his liver numbers were insanely bad. After nearly six weeks of being in and out of the hospital they discovered that Joey has a form of cancer called Cutaneous Lymphoma. This form of cancer is extremely rare in cats (.08% of cats who get cancer will get this type). What makes this case even more rare is that Joey has two different types of this cancer, "Non-Epidermotropic" and "Epidermotropic". There is no cure for what Joey has, but there is treatment that will make him comfortable and give him a good quality of life. However, that treatment, along with what he has already gone through is very expensive and there is no way for me to keep up.


100% of the funds from this GoFundMe campaign will be used to pay Joey's medical bills. This includes his bi-weekly chemo injections, oral medications, blood tests, hospital stays, feeding tube...etc. 


I feel somewhat embarassed by needing to ask for help with this but  to those of you that know me or know Joey, you know how cool of a cat he is. He came into my life randomly one day 12 years ago while I was with a friend who was buying food for his pet at a pet store. This happened to be "cat adoption day". I noticed Joey in a cage by himself. He was fully grown and no one was really paying attention to him but I swear you could hear him purring from a mile away.  I went to the cage to pet him and that was it. An hour later I was a cat owner and we were home.
