Hello world! I’m Arepo Desir (she/her) — a 28‑year‑old Haitian‑American trans woman, cyber-security student at WGU, hacktivist, IT professional, artist, pianist, and programmer. I’m raising funds for urgent medical care, legal identification and registration, transportation, and safe housing after surviving trauma.
Over the past year, I applied to nearly 1,000 jobs in tech and general labor while dealing with hostile housing, trauma, and the pressures of gender transition under a hostile political climate.
The constant rejections, fighting an industry rapidly shifting all interaction toward “AI” left me burned out and pushed to the edge — the stress was literally killing me. I made the choice to step off the rat race treadmill, focus on trauma and gender-affirming therapy, and build something that could actually make my life — and others’ lives — better.
Despite everything, I’ve devoted my time to building free, open‑source mutual aid technology — especially my passion project, L.O.G.O.S. (https://joinlogos.club) a distributed personal knowledge system of cognitive tools. I built it to help myself navigate AuDHD, religious OCD, eating disorder, and intrusive gender dysphoria, as well as help vulnerable people find everyday resources and essential support.
Every contribution goes directly toward my immediate physical safety, healthcare, and stability. With those foundations in place, I can heal, survive, thrive - continuing to build and share free tools with the humanity. When I am safe and whole, my work can keep reaching the communities that need it most.
Your gift helps cover essential, time‑sensitive needs (more details on https://whoisarepo.space):
