Help Veronica Achieve Her Wrestling Dream

Donation protected
Hi! For those of you who don’t know me personally, my name is Veronica Sparksman. I’m a twenty-one year old political organizer from a small town of six hundred, and while I’ve done a lot of things with my life so far, my real passion is professional wrestling.

That might be surprising to a lot of people, with the truth being that I was never very outspoken or athletic growing up. I was soft spoken, didn’t have many friends, and was usually more interested in video games and books than I was in sports. I’ve never set out to be particularly outstanding. In fact, for most of my life, I’ve been more than happy to just scrape by and stay in the background.

But then, at my lowest point last year, a friend introduced me to professional wrestling. I had a surface level knowledge of it, but I had never really shown much interest in it. Somehow, something clicked for me this time, and what started as one night of fun turned into watching any match that I could. I borrowed DVDs, watched live whenever I could, and even started watching older taped events whenever I had a free moment. I learned the right terms for the moves, went to my first tv taping for a match, and fell in love with it.

Wrestling spoke to me in a way very little else has, because it’s a beautiful form of storytelling. It’s more than bodybuilders waving flags and fighting, it’s a universal language where anything can happen. Wrestling has been there for me in a way most people haven’t, and I’ve truly fallen in love with it.

Earlier this week, I was accepted into a local wrestling school that could allow me to pursue my dream of pro wrestling. Lots of people apply for these schools and don’t get in at all, so this is a massive opportunity for me that unfortunately came at a bad time. In October, I was fired from my job for reasons I’m still not aware of, meaning that the money I saved for this suddenly had to go towards my bills alongside my unemployment. Without my savings, paying the $2,500 in tuition would be difficult for me as I search for a new job.

I’m just barely getting by right now, but I’ve been presented with the opportunity of a lifetime to make my dream come true.

So I’m turning to my community. I’m asking for your help in raising the $2,500 I need to pay for wrestling school. Whether your support means just sharing the page, telling somebody you know, or donating, I need all the help that I can get. Thank you, I appreciate you reading.
