Help Valeria Find Her Cure

Hi, my name is Valeria Mendoza. I'm 8 years old and I live in Monterrey, Mexico. I like to color and watch princess movies. My favorite one is Frozen. When I'm not too weak I like to play in the park.
When I was a few months old, I  contracted an illness that caused my liver to fail. I had a liver transplant at the age of 3 and everything began to get better. But a few months later other illness and symptoms developed. For years I have been in and out of hospitals in Mexico, often staying there for weeks,  where doctors have searched and tried everything they can to find a solution to what was causing my symptoms; chronic diarrhea, ascites (an accumulation of fluid in the abdominal area), protein-losing enteropathy and malformations.
In the hospital this month.

Finally, after a time and thanks to a study written by doctors from John Hopkins Hospital, my doctors figured out what the problem was. Here is a link to that study http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3568531/There is a narrowing of the vein between my liver and my heart. To be specific at the junction between my hepatic vein and the inferior vena cava.
The doctors tried many different things, the last of which was placing several stents in the vein. All the things they tried worked for a time, but my symptoms always came back more aggresive and now they are back and are worse then they have ever been. My parents and doctors are really worried that time is running out.
In the hospital this month.

My doctors recently told my parents that there was nothing else they could do for me. So my parents wanted to find a way to contact the doctors that wrote the study I mentioned earlier. It is our last hope.
Me and my dad around 2010.

My cousin and I around 2010. She is 3 weeks older than me.

My aunt and uncle got in contact with the doctors at John Hopkins and sent them all my medical records, including tissue samples etc. The doctors at John Hopkins think they can help me. But I only have insurance that is valid in Mexico. We will have to pay eveything out-of-pocket. Once the deposit is made, the hospital will send me the necessary paperwork to get a visa so I can travel to John Hopkins Hospital and receive treatment.

If you have any question feel free to contact us.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any help you can give. No amount is too small.
