He was yet another victim of crime at one of the most dangerous cities of the world.
He was shot twice in the head, one above his forehead at the hair line and one close to the ear, breaking every possible bone on their path. But God has proven to be there for him and his family. The bullet that went in through his forehead area, instead of following what would be considered the normal path, broke his skull and "bounced" finding its exit path in between his eyes. The second bullet went in below his ear creating a great amount of damage on its path until finding its way out through his mouth. How he is still alive we don't know, but definetely grateful with God.
This man has worked hard his entire life, he was borned in a poor humble home. His dad died when he was only 8 years old, being the oldest of six he started working to help his mother financially. He is now 63 years old and no plans to retire as he still has underage children that depend on him, and no retirement plan. He has no insurance, as in Honduras if you are a certain age and with certain medical conditions, insurance companies won't take you in. He is diabetic and suffers from high blood pressure. So far his family has gone through all of their savings to pay for all medical expenses. By the way the government doesn't cover any of this. He still needs two more surgeries but not enough money to cover them. Let's please help this family alleviate the burden of their medical expenses.
