I know everyone has their troubles but Tina has been hit with a big one. The C word… Breast Cancer..
Tina is a 33 year old fit, healthy, Personal Trainer we never would have thought she would get cancer and being a single self-employed mum of 2 young kids she is not only worried about fighting for her life but also being able to provide for her children. This is where we can help. But why does she need help you ask? Well being diagnosed 3 weeks ago Tina has already undergone a double mastectomy then a week later had a lateral dissection to remove her lymphonds. She is currently discussing with the doctors about the Chemotherapy she will need and then later this year will undergo one more surgery. All this treatment is to save her life. However the doctors don’t do anything for free. Just 2 of these surgeries will be $8000 out of pocket not to mention all the doctor’s visits, medication expenses and pathology costs. I know that $10000 dollars seems like a lot to try and raise but this will mean she won’t be paying back doctors for years to come ( as she is going to kick cancers butt!) Being out of work and having 2 kids to have to raise as well as pay bills that are a part of everyday life it is going to be hard and I want her to not have to worry so much about how she is going to manage everything.
Don’t worry we don’t do anything for free either! Her 11 year old son Cody has decided to grow his hair out as long as possible until Tina starts chemo then he’s going to shave his hair off to raise money for his mum and so she won’t be bald alone. He thought of this all on his own just to try and help his mum.
I know they say that everyone will know someone with cancer , but our family has had its fair share having our grandma with cancer, our mum die of cancer 3 years ago and my husband die of cancer last year we know we can’t do this alone that is why we are asking for your help not with the mind of poor us feel sorry for us because we don’t feel sorry for ourselves we just fight back so we are asking with stance that we want to kick cancer out of our lives but we need help doing it.
