For days my friend had heard screaming but had no clue where it was coming from. When I heard it for myself last night I went into full-on hunting mode for two hours and we eventually found this kitten trapped inside the hood of a car. He is AWESOME- tiny but adorable, scared but happy to be safe, purring, starving and thirsty, but he NEEDS a vet's visit and possibly a medical procedure for an oral injury/infection- I believe he was trying to chew his way out and split his cheek open or hurt his jaw doing so. He needs help! So I started a GoFundMe for Maserati (he was stuck inside a Maserati so it seemed like an appropriate name for now!), so he can get cleaned up (VERY dirty from the inside of the engine), get checked out, and to assist the awesome neighbors I literally just met during the search and rescue mission who are helping to rehabilitate him with the costs. Please help if you can- even a dollar will go a long way! Let's get Maserati back up to speed! And if you know any animal lovers out there feel free to pass this along! Thanks so much!
UPDATE 11:45 am PST- My new friends just texted me from the vet. Maserati (other name idea is Karma- also wildly appropriate) slept throughout the night, has been quiet since, and is blinking calmly and slowly. The vet confirmed he will need a jaw surgery. We think his jaw broke trying to chew his way out. I don't know what the cost will be but I'm going to raise every dollar I can. Thanks, everyone!
