Help The Zuiderveld's Battle Cancer

To anyone you ask, to know Dutch Zuiderveld is to love Dutch Zuiderveld. Please join us in this fight for his life!

Dutch has been diagnosed with stage 4 Sarcoma Lung Cancer in both of his lungs, along with Thyroid Cancer. He has already beat cancer not just once, but TWICE before, and we’re hopeful to see him do it again! As a husband, father, grandfather, friend, and prison chaplain - he’s always extending love and open arms to both those he knows and those he doesn’t yet. He’s always been quick to lift others up and now is the time we open our hearts and hands to do the same for him. As you can imagine, right now is a very trying time, but yet in the midst of such grueling obstacles he still obtains an amazing spirit and joy for life. If you’ve ever seen him smile, you know everyone around him will be doing the same. There’s a quote that Dutch holds fondly that says, “I see now that the circumstances of one’s birth are irrelevant. It is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are.” Dutch is a prime example of this in his everyday life and I desperately hope we will be blessed to see him continue that on.

Dutch will be receiving treatment in Salt Lake City, Utah at a cancer institute with an outstanding team of doctors and for that we are so grateful! His wife of 20 years, Jamie, will be driving him back and forth from their home in Idaho to the center in Utah and caring for him in their home between trips as well, which means she will be missing work. Due to the rare and high grade cancer he is battling, aggressive treatment will be sought and the expenses that accompany these treatments go beyond the family’s means. As we all know, insurance companies often do not cover the cost of treatments in full, and with travel expenses being a factor as well, we’re leaning on the support of others to see this family through. Any and every amount given is appreciated beyond words and will make a difference, so thank you!

“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” - Ephesians 3:20
