On June 11, 2018, a fire broke out in an Lynn Valley apartment complex at approximately 2:30 am. One of my best friends, Jason, and his family lived there. Thankfully, he and his family managed to escape and are safe, but, unfortunately, the Yen family has lost everything due to the fire.

The Yen family of five are one of the nicest neighbours, colleagues, and friends from North Vancouver, B.C. Alex just graduated from UBC this May and Sandy just graduated from Argyle Secondary this June. It’s not easy for two dedicated parents to raise three kids and to be faced with one of life’s most gruelling challenges.
