Mike and Kim Hegmegee are known to so many people in the U.P. and beyond, especially alumni of NMU's Forest Roberts Theatre.  A fire has completely destroyed their home of 21 years, and we can do more than say that we're sorry (but so happy none of them were injured). 

I met "Morgan" on my first day at NMU, in Vic's Stagecraft Class.  I was super nervous, going back to school as a "mature student" and as soon as I sat down, Kim stood up (all 4'11" of her) thrust out her hand and said, "Hey, I'm Morgan!"   Heg and I were in a few shows together, but mostly I remember his hugs when I was feeling blue. 

Being so far away, as many of us are, we need a vehicle to help our friends.  Let's do this.
