We are eager to help our friends the Eagar Family!
Our friends, Matt and Stacy Eagar are some of the kindest, warmest people we know. Unfortunately, over the years, they have experienced one financial difficulty after another. This year, and particularly the last few months, have been especially difficult.
Here is their story:
Matt is 36 years old. On September 2nd, he had a massive heart attack. It was a 95% blockage which resulted in emergency surgery and an ICU hospital stay. He now takes 5-6 prescriptions for the rest of his life. He is also supposed to attend Cardiac Rehab and complete a 36 visit program. He is only 1/3 of the way through the Rehab program when the New Year will start and their health insurance deductible begins again. They will have to pay 100% of his treatments until reaching the deductible again.
The insurance company refuses to pay Matt’s ambulance bill because the in-network ER called an out-of-network critical care ambulance to transport him to their main hospital in Akron, OH, for life saving measures.
In November, their 10 year old son, Brady required Tympanoplasty surgery to fix hearing loss and severe ear pain. He will require another surgery in December.
If that wasn’t enough, last week doctors found a cancerous looking mass covering Stacy’s left ovary. She is scheduled for surgery early next week. Depending on the biopsy results, a treatment plan will be made.
This fall they also accrued multiple medical bills when the entire family contracted strep. Three of their children developing walking Pneumonia and the other had asthma complications that required multiple visits and medication.
The aspect of things is literally exhausting physically, emotionally and financially. Any amount of money would be gratefully appreciated.
