Hi, my name is Farah and I created this page for my aunt and uncle (Naaz and Sachin) who could use your help paying off medical expenses for my uncle's father, Sath.

My uncle's mum and dad, Raj and Sath, are from Fiji and they had come to North America for the first time to visit their family. They started their trip in California, where they stayed for a few weeks before making their way to Canada.  They were visiting my Aunt and Unlce at their home in Surrey, BC and were scheduled for a flight to Calgary early December. Unfortunately, due to the ice and snow, the flight was cancelled and their stay in BC was extended.

Not too long after, my Uncle's dad suffered a severe slip and fall on the kitchen floor. He was taken to a local Hospital Emergency where he was told he had a fractured hip and would need surgery to fix it. The surgery happened a few days later but there were complications. Post-surgery he had stopped breathing and was taken into intensive care. During his first few days in ICU his airways collapsed and he has been on life support since 

ICU room costs for Non-residents are close to $7,000/night. His traveller’s medical insurance only covers $50,000 and the bill for the room fee alone is already close to $65,000.They still have to factor in all costs for the Dr, surgery, tests, etc. 
He still remains in intensive care at the hospital with no word yet on when and if he will be discharged. 

My aunt and uncle are the nicest and most caring people you will ever meet, they have 2 handsome little boys (in the campaign picture) who are very adventerous and make your heart melt. 

Naaz and Sachin have missed many days  of work, driving back and forth between the hospital and their house. Also ensuring there is child care for their little ones. 

In hopes to make this time easier for the family, I am reaching out to everyone to please support this campaign. All money raised will be going to my aunt and uncle to help pay off the medical bills. Anything extra will go towards financial compensation and loss of wages for my aunt and uncle.
