Tahlia's Medical Fund
Hello Supporters,
Some of you may know Tahlia Canovas, but for those who don't, Tahli, as her mom, Ida Rodriguez calls her, is an extraordinary girl full of life!
Tahli is a vibrant, young woman and a joy to be around. A former cheerleader at South Miami and Junior Olympian, who can get a smile out of anyone’s face. She works full time to help with her bills and her family’s. Her dream is to become a registered nurse which is why she is also currently attending Miami Dade Community College, so she can spend her life helping others.
On Sunday April 26th, 2015, Tahlia was involved in a terrible car accident. The car who crashed her ran a red light and left her with a broken collar bone, broken rib, split lip and a broken jaw. Her teeth were pushed back into place and her jaw was wired. The impact of the accident was so strong that she was ejected from the vehicle.
We are blessed to still have her with us, unfortunately she is in a lot of pain and will have to undergo surgery as well as extensive physical therapy. This the beginning of a long recovery process and she is looking forward to go back to work, school and be able to be as active in sports as she always has been.
Tahlia will not be able to work for a couple of months and her parents are doing everything they can, but the medical bills, co-payments, physical therapy and Tahlia's own bills are going to start catching up. We ask that you keep Tahlia in your prayers and that if you find it in your heart to help her and her family with a donation to aid with her medical bills please do so, that way she can focus on recovery.
Tahlia, you are a strong young woman! Your family and friends love you!
