Help support the Copelands through Jon's final procedure.
Donation protected
TBC Eagles Baseball Coach Jon Copeland is embarking on what will hopefully be his final surgery to repair his esophagus. This rare and complex surgery is set to take place on April 15 at MD Anderson Houston and will be performed by a team of top doctors in their fields. The surgery will require him and his wife, Stephanie, to be in Texas for 2-3 weeks post-surgery to ensure the procedure is successful.
On March 7, 2024, Jon suffered an Esophageal rupture and went into septic shock, spreading infection throughout his body and causing severe damage to other organs. Doctors were uncertain he would survive, but through God’s grace he did. Throughout the last year, he has had multiple surgeries and procedures to remove infected and dying parts of several organs, including partial removal of his esophagus. A feeding tube was put in place which has helped him to grow stronger. He is now cleared by doctors to undergo reconnection of his esophagus.
The Copelands appreciate all the prayers and support through the last year of this journey. Your donation will help the Copelands as they will incur expenses in Texas and at home that are not covered by medical insurance. Any donation amount would be greatly appreciated. All donations will be used by the Copelands to help over the next several months.
