Dear community members,
Today we are writing to share with you some information about our long time staff member, Shelly Guy. A few weeks ago, Shelly was diagnosed with colon cancer turning her world (and ours) a bit down.
After informing friends, family and the community, people came out of the woodworks asking how they could help. Here at SLC we decided to do our part and start a fundraiser. With Shelly's upcoming surgery and post op treatment, she will be unable to work for a while and we want to help out as much as possible.
To help with the huge costs of medical expenses and being out of work we are asking for ANY support. Every dollar in this fundraiser will go directly to medical expenses and supplies.
This journey is difficult for Shelly and her family. With the SLC and Deaf community we know she will overcome and beat cancer. With the support, love and positive energy she will get through this rough time. We are so grateful to Shelly for all she has done for SLC and want to give back to her in any way we can.
