Help Michael 'Scorcher" Scornaiench

Donation protected
It's time to give back to Michael Scornaienchi.

While training for the World Finals, Michael 'Scorcher' Scornaienchi had a horrible crash August 31 at Lake Havasu.  A fast thinking young man named Kole Cramer saved him from drowning called for help and helped get him out of the water as help arrived.  Michael spent several days in the Havasu hospital being stabilized for the trip home to Washington.   He has been transported to Tacoma by air ambulance and has had anterior cervical surgery on C4-C7.  Currently Scorcher is awaiting placement in a rehabilitation facility in Washington.  While his prognosis is great, healing will be a long journey.

Leslie Scornaienchi has been by Michael's side throughout this ordeal and will need to be with him as he heals.  As many of you know Leslie flies for Southwest Airlines and most of her trips are multi day, this leaves no one to assist Michael as he rehabs.

Please contribute what you can to help offset expenses, letting Leslie miss some trips and stay home.   She will be the sole source of income for the foreseeable future.  Leslie and Michael are the only ones to have access to the donations.

Michael and Leslie are two of the most caring, conscientious people I know.  He has always been there for my son as a coach and more importantly a mentor.  Michael gives his time freely to young people, texting before a race, offering words of encouragement or a swift kick when it's required.

I can't think of two more deserving people to help.
