As many of you know Gary & I got Tilli when she was a baby back in 2019.
She very quickly became his right hand gal and basically acted like a service dog for him.
He started working with her & training her to keep his mind off of a lot of things & during that time they grew even closer. In a room FILLED with people she would ALWAYS be looking for or watching Gary. They worked on obedience, bite training, recall, he even took her to the range with him!
She LOVED to go swimming in the pool with him & go after her ball.
The way his face lights up when he's training or playing with her is all the more reason why this is so important. She's his happiness in the hardest of times.
The morning of Saturday June 28th she showed signs of respiratory distress. He immediately rushed her to the Emergency Vet in Northfield and they got right to work on her running a bunch of tests. At first we thought it could have been her stomach flipping, but we found out it's much worse.
They drained a liter of fluid out of her lungs but didn't know what was causing it. They recommended Gary take her to Philadelphia because she needed to be in intensive care, worried that they'll continue to fill with liquid. They gave her broad range antibiotics since they didn't know exactly what was causing it and he took her to Philly. The team at the Emergency Vet in Northfield was amazing, but we all know that vet bills aren't cheap. That bill alone was $2060.93
Around 1pm he made it to Philly with her & they took her straight back. They had to drain her lungs again. Gary had to leave her and say goodbyes just in case, but they are admitting her for at the very least 2 days. She'll be sedated, antibiotics, a chest tube inserted and more CT scans. If it doesn't get better they'll have to go in and crack the chest open to clean out the rest of the infection. In order to even start this process Gary had to pay $9,200 with no guarantee she'll be ok.
Needless to say we are both a wreck. We don't know what caused it. He was with her all day the last two days and she didn't get into anything harmful. Just out in the backyard per usual living her best life. First and foremost we don't want her to be in any pain so we'll do what we can to make her better. More importantly we don't want to lose her!
Even during ALL of this chaos today the vet techs kept complimenting Tilli about how well behaved she is and kept telling Gary how amazing of a dog she truly is.
This is all so sudden, and it all sucks.
Any little bit helps.

We're starting small by wanting to at least get to 3500. However, the total estimation for everything is anywhere from 12k-15k.
We appreciate and love all of you.
I will update as frequently as possible once we know more.
