Help save Chivers family farm - flood Merritt BC

The Chivers family farm was destroyed by the BC floods and they need our help restocking hay for animals and rebuilding the property in hopes of salvaging their home.
Mavis and Dave Chivers moved from Coquitlamn 18 years ago to escape the city and to own a farm and a piece of serenity. This was a dream for both of them and 6 months after moving to the farm Dave lost his life. Mavis was determined to keep their dream alive and worked hard keeping the farm and running herself with the help of her kids Laura, Wade and Lisa. Over the years she has recued many horses, dogs, and cats as well as adopting farm animals to live life off the farm. It became a sanctuary for humans and a place where animals can feel like they are at home and loved.
Because of the flood the has river forced it's way up the bank during overwhelming rainfall and rerouted through the property wiping out all of their land, flooding the houses, destroying the hay barn and all hay with it. Bradley Friesen a helicopter pilot that has help people throughout his career heard about Mavis struggling and donated his helicopter services to lift family members with supplies to attempt to salvage the main home and equipment. The family has no insurance coverage on the home but will be able to qualify for disaster relief. As the property has permanently damaged , donations are badly needed or equipment resources to help salvage the property and re route the river. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and lets show Mavis she is supported through this horrible tragedy and not alone by donations or prayer.
