Help Save Shiloh: A Young Survivor from Cleveland, TX in Need of Life-Saving Surgery
Saving Pups of Texas (S.P.O.T.), a 501c3 nonprofit, is urgently seeking donations to help save Shiloh, a 17-week-old Shepherd mix who has already endured more than any dog should. On August 27th, Shiloh was cruelly thrown from a car in front of a warehouse in Cleveland, Texas. As if that wasn't enough, two large dogs began chasing her, forcing her into the street where she was struck by a car. The driver didn't stop, but fortunately, a compassionate person witnessed the tragedy and reached out for help.
Shiloh was rushed to the Animal Emergency Clinic of Conroe in serious condition. X-rays and an exam revealed several breaks in her pelvis, a broken left femur, internal parasites, maggots around her vulva, as well as anemia. She also has a few stones in her stomach. Despite the trauma, Shiloh's fighting spirit has shone through, but she urgently needs multiple surgeries and a blood transfusion to survive.
After receiving fluids and pain medication overnight, Shiloh was transported two hours to Neighborhood Veterinary Centers in Nederland, TX, where Dr. Hanson will perform her surgeries. The trip was tense, with the driver having to stop to check if she was still breathing. But Shiloh made it, and now she needs our help.
Saving Pups of Texas has already covered $2,435.46 in emergency costs, but the estimate for her ongoing care is an additional $4,183.41. This is a staggering amount for a small rescue and could limit their ability to help other dogs in need. We’re asking for your support to give Shiloh the chance she deserves.
Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly to Shiloh’s medical care. Together, we can help her heal and find the loving home she deserves. Thank you for being a part of Shiloh's rescue journey.
