Please Help our Safer Swords Family-
The fire started under the center of the van, directly under my Family.
This could have been so much worse. Really worse.
Held my girls and cried.
Everyone is doing okay.
Feeling frustrated, but mostly thankful.
My Girls say it was heroic that I jumped into a burning van to try and save our stuff.
I'm really feeling more like I failed them.
I really hate to ask for help, but my pride is less important than my Family.
Dealing with a fire is a lesson in humility.
While it is certainly true that there is nothing more important than our loved ones;
it is tremendously frustrating to lose the things that you have worked so hard for.
We saved for years to finally afford our big van, to lose it all in flames.
Our trailer is also damaged, and we lost much of our garb, and personal belongings.
We have so much to try and replace, from baby supplies to cell phones and the van itself.
We didn't save as much as we thought, so much is melted and covered in soot.
We travel fairly efficiently, so everything lost was important.
It's a pretty major setback, and will probably take years to recover from.
We have a little savings and some resources, so we should be able to stay in business.
Barely.
Not sure what to do.
We've lost our primary transportation, that's going to be a big problem.
Replacing a 15 passenger van with towing package was not in the budget.
Every little bit is a help at this point.
If you can't help, do me a different favor-
Buy a fire extinguisher for your vehicle, I'm so thankful I had one.
Thanks so much for all the support and kind words.
Feeling blessed that we have such wonderful people in our lives.
We appreciate you all so much.
Hugs!
