My mom was a determined woman with an unbreakable spirit, who sacrificed so much to give us the best as children, putting her own dreams and needs to one side. She devoted her life, soul and heart to being a provider and mother, a living example of unconditional love and self sacrifice.

In 2017 she was diagnosed with breast cancer; through sheer effort, medical treatment and an unwavering faith in Christ, she was free of the disease for several years — one of the greatest victories of her life. However, earlier this year the cancer returned and, despite treatment, progressed rapidly within a few months, developing metastases and severely affecting both lungs. My mom fought bravely against the illness, but the cancer proved relentless. Her will to live and to keep fighting remained intact until her very last moment.

We want to honour my mother’s final wish that her remains be laid to rest in the place where she was born and to pay her the tribute she deserves. But the ongoing medical bills, medications, multiple surgeries and repeated emergencies have left us in a very difficult financial situation.

The funds will be used to cover the purchase of a coffin, funeral services, embalming, the burial plot and the transport of her body to her hometown. Any remainder will go towards loans or debts incurred by the many medical expenses. The funeral will take place on Sunday 12 October.

Any help, however small, will be enormously appreciated and will help us honour the memory of our mother — a brave, dignified and hardworking woman who lived an honorable life.

Mi mamá fue una mujer luchadora de espíritu inquebrantable, se sacrificó por darnos lo mejor cuando niños, dejando de lado sus propios sueños y necesidades. Se entregó con vida, alma y corazón a su rol de madre proveedora siendo un ejemplo de amor incondicional y sacrificio.

En 2017 recibió el diagnóstico de cáncer de mama; con esfuerzo, los tratamientos médicos y una fe inquebrantable en Cristo, logro estar libre de la enfermedad durante varios años, una de las victorias más grandes de su vida.

sin embargo, a principios de este año el cáncer regresó y avanzo rápidamente en pocos meses a pesar de los tratamientos, desarrollando metástasis y afectando gravemente ambos pulmones.

Mi mama lucho valientemente contra su enfermedad, pero el cáncer fue implacable. Su voluntad por vivir y seguir luchando permaneció intactica hasta el último momento de su vida.

Queremos cumplir la última voluntad mi madre de que sus restos descansen en el lugar que la vio nacer. Y rendirle el homenaje que ella merece. Pero debido a los continuos gastos médicos, medicamentos, múltiples intervenciones quirúrgicas y constantes emergencia medicas nos han dejado en una situación económica muy complicada.

Los fondos se utilizarán para la compra de féretro, servicios funerarios, embalsamiento, terreno para su sepultura y el traslado de su cuerpo a su ciudad natal. Y cualquier remanente servirá para pagar prestamos o deudas por los múltiples gastos médicos. El sepelio será el domingo 12 de octubre.

Toda ayuda, por pequeña que sea, será de gran valor para honrar la memoria de nuestra madre, una mujer valiente, digna y luchadora, que vivió su vida de manera honorable.
