Helps Elizabeth and Jon start their FAMILY!

Donation protected
Support our beautiful friends Liz and Jon on their journey to parenthood. Some people were born to be mothers. Elizabeth is one of those people and the Holly Springs High School Marching band is so very fortunate to have her as a part of our band family. As many know, fertility treatments can be incredibly expensive and not fully covered by insurance.

We have created this GoFundMe to help ease that financial burden and show our support during this deeply meaningful time. Whether you are able to give or simply share, your kindness and generosity will make a real difference.

Let's rally together to help Liz and Jon take this next step toward growing their family.

Their Story
True love stories are often described as fairy tales—something that doesn’t really happen, right? Well… mine did. Over 7 years ago, Jon Wesley Jenkins swept me off my feet, and that was the beginning of our incredible adventure together. We truly complete each other. Soulmates do exist! From the moment we started talking about long-term dating, I knew he was the one. Since then, he has shown me every single day just how much he loves me.

We got married in May 2021, and I still get chills thinking about how amazing and beautiful that day was. It was everything I’d ever dreamed of. We spent the next year as newlyweds, going on Disney trips and living out our nerdy couple dreams! In 2022, we began talking about starting a family. And here comes a piece of my past: in 2016, during my 20-week ultrasound, I found out that my first baby girl had passed away. It was a devastating time, and I never thought I would ever have the desire to try again. But Wes brought that joy back into my life. He made me believe in the possibility of being a mom again, and I knew that together we could make this dream come true.

So, from 2022 to 2024, we tried everything—countless months of tracking, trying, following doctors’ recommendations, and listening to friends’ advice. But no luck. We refused to give up hope, and finally, we saw a specialist. That’s when we learned that due to Wes’ Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD), natural conception was nearly impossible. It was a tough pill to swallow, but Wes, as always, was my rock. He said, “We will figure this out.”

Fast forward to finding the right fertility clinic and doctor, and beginning our IVF journey—but wait, there’s more. The financial burden of IVF hit us like a ton of bricks. Unfortunately, state health plans cover none of the costs for IVF treatments. We were told that everything had to be paid upfront before starting, and our hearts sank when we realized we didn’t have $20,000 just lying around.

How were we supposed to do this?

I cried for two nights straight, asking myself, “What did I do wrong? All I want is to start a family with this amazing man and be a mom. Being a mom would be the most fulfilling thing I could ever imagine." But the financial burden has really made us stop and think.

Now, to think that our amazing band of family and friends wants to help… I couldn’t be more grateful. These beautiful hearts and souls are my lifeline, my world, and they make my heart overflow with love. Their support means everything to us. Any help, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to fulfilling our family dream and sharing all the love we have with a tiny human of our own.
