This is my Dad, Rod Raschke. He's a loving father of two kids and two grandkids from Pierre, South Dakota. Recently, my Dad was diagnosed with Stage IV Squamous Cell Carcinoma. What started as a tumor in his throat developed into cancer that has spread into the tonsils, lymphnodes, and muscle in his throat area. This is my Dad's second battle with cancer. He's had a rough go health wise, but he's always maintained a positive attitude and always was more concerned with our family than he was the disease. He's been the Rock of our family and has taken on the burden of many of the difficulties our family has endured.
My Dad has a long road ahead of him. He'll have to undergo seven weeks of radiation, going five times a week. He'll also have to go through chemotherapy, though how much we do not yet know. Not only does he have to endure this harsh treatment, but he'll be away from his home while he does so. Your support will help pay for what insurance costs will not, including the radiation and chemotherapy.
I unfortunately live in Colorado and am not able to be with my Dad through this sickness, but your support and prayers will go a long way in helping a man that's loved by many people.
Thank you,
Andrew Raschke
