Hi there! I’m Rivkah (they/them) and I’m a queer Filipinx performer and writer living with Bipolar II. I moved to LA in January to continue to build my career and my life. Due to COVID-19, I lost my day job and many paid performance opportunities. I lost my housing in June and have been crashing with a friend since, but I need to find my own place for October.


I haven’t been able to get unemployment benefits and my savings is running out. The rent in LA is insanely high and without a car or driver’s license, I need to live in a walkable neighborhood. I can’t move back to my hometown because I don’t feel safe traveling there. While I am looking for work everyday, it’s slim pickings for a carless college drop out and minimum wage doesn’t even begin to cover my needs so I’m asking for help.


I will be using my funds to pay for a few months of rent (and a few other essentials) while I continue to look for work during this truly relentless time.

Here is an estimate of how it’ll be used:
~3400 to cover 3 months rent & utilities
~600 to cover 3 months groceries, therapy, and transportation (Lyft)
~1000 for furniture and plants
~555 for a bit of savings
